I am a trainer that leads by example, I am passionate about health and fitness and this is reflected in my sessions which are both fun and challenging. I have over 20 years of fitness experience and I know how to get the most out of people, I will work with you providing the guidance and motivation to push you to your limits and help you achieve your fitness goals.
On a personal note, I have always been a keen sportsman, playing several sports to club level, however, these days my main passion is trail running and fitness training. I have achieved high finishes in a number of off-road running races around the country and taken the spoils in several events.
Whilst I have a competitive edge I also have a strong belief that exercise should be enjoyable and not be seen as a chore, this is the central concept behind my sessions which promise to be tough and enjoyable in equal measure!
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Fill in the personal details & questionnaire to help us understand you fitness needs.
Many health benefits are associated with regular exercise and the completion of this questionnaire is a sensible first step if you are planning to increase the amount of physical activity in your life.
As we believe exercise should be safe, this questionnaire has been designed to identify a small number of people who should take medical advice before commencing.

What is a bootcamp class like?
Trailblazer Fitness bootcamp sessions are very varied and offer different types of fitness training. Sessions could include running, high intensity training, strength and conditioning and functional training. Exercises may be performed using bodyweight or we have an extensive range of kit we bring to sessions, this includes weights, battle ropes, sleds, sandbags, slam balls and plyo boxes to name just a few. Due to COVID restrictions were are currently unable to offer boxing sessions but hopefully this will be permitted in due course. The overriding feature of our bootcamps is that they are friendly, supportive and led by trainers who care about every one of their members.
Will I be fit enough for boot camp?
YES! Our bootcamp classes are suitable for all fitness levels from beginner to elite. As you begin your fitness journey you will be guided and asked to exercise at a level suitable to your own fitness. Everyone present will be pushed to their individual limits and sessions can always be made harder for those really trying to work out of the comfort zone!
How many times a week should I do boot camp?
For best results we recommend at least 2 sessions per week. Our clients see a big difference in strength and fitness once they up their sessions from 1 to 2 or even 3 a week.
I’m not sure if I am ready to commit, can I try a session first?
Your first session is FREE, it is important to get a taste of what we offer and ensure you like it before committing! After your trial you have the option of joining on a monthly membership or pay as you go.
Do you lose weight in bootcamp?
The aim of our bootcamp classes are to get you fit in a fun and friendly environment. If you attend regularly you will feel more energised, motivated and it turn you will develop the mindset and discipline required for sustained weight loss. Exercise on its own has its merits, but if weight loss is your sole focus you will need to ensure you make the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes to achieve your goal.
How many calories do you burn?
An hour of fitcamp can, depending on the intensity of the class, range from 400-800 calories.
What should I wear for an outdoor boot camp?
You will be outside in all weathers so it’s a good idea to layer up. That way you can add or remove clothes as you need to. Trainers with a good grip and a decent pair of gloves (ideally waterproof) are advised. A thin breathable waterproof jacket comes in handy too on the cold winter nights! Other than that just wear whatever you are comfortable in.
Do I need to register before going to any sessions?
Before attending a PARQ (physical activity readiness questionnaire) must be completed, this can be found in the ‘About’ section on this website. You can just turn up but it is helpful if new attendees contact us in advance so we know to expect you.
